The two stages people forget to ask about
Revisions
Between the design landing and you approving it, there is usually a week of
back-and-forth, and this is the part that makes the album yours. You comment
directly on any spread — swap this photo, make that one full-bleed,
more of the speeches, my uncle is not in this book at all. Changes
normally come back within forty-eight hours.
There is no revision limit and no revision fee, and we mean that literally rather
than as a marketing phrase: the album is not finished until you say it is, and
nothing is printed before that moment.
Choosing the object
While the design is being made you decide what it should be bound as — which line,
which size, which of the 53 cover materials, whether the
names go on in blind deboss or foil, whether there is a cameo window. If that
sounds like a lot of decisions, tell us the mood and we will suggest three. Most
people take one of the three.
Timeline at a glance
| When | What happens | Your effort |
| Minutes | Gallery link arrives | Leave an email |
| Day 1 | You (or your photographer) upload | Drag a folder |
| Days 3–5 | Designed album arrives as a private link | None |
| Days 5–12 | Revisions, usually two or three rounds | Comment on spreads |
| On approval | Quote confirmed, payment taken | Say yes |
| +10 working days | Printed, hand-bound, boxed, shipped | Wait, impatiently |
Rush production is available when a date is immovable — an anniversary, a
christening, a birthday. Ask when you upload and we will tell you honestly whether
it is achievable.
What if you decide not to go ahead?
Then nothing happens, which is the entire point of doing it in this order. There is
no deposit to reclaim and no card to cancel. Tell us and your files are deleted;
the gallery is yours to keep either way. We would rather spend a curator's
afternoon than push anybody into a book they will resent on the shelf for
the next fifty years.
