We will sign an NDA, and it will not slow anything down

Yours or ours, whichever your people prefer. Send the agreement before you upload a single file and we will have it back the same day. This is not an unusual request here and nobody will ask you why you are making it.

If your side needs the bookbinders covered as well, say so — they work under confidentiality terms already, and the agreement can be extended to name them.

What a locked gallery actually means

• Unlisted and unindexed. Excluded from search engines, linked from nowhere, on an address long enough that it cannot be guessed.
• Password on request, and on this kind of work we would rather you asked for one than not.
• Nothing is shared onward. No preview goes to anybody who is not on your list — not to a photographer, not to a family member, not to us in an email.
• Analytics never see the address. Everything after the page name is stripped before a visit is counted, so a private link cannot leak that way even while it sits in your address bar.

Who sees the photographs

One curator, because somebody has to read the whole set in order to choose from it, and one designer who lays out the spreads. After that the bookbinders see the pages while they print and bind them — there is no honest way to make a book without somebody handling it. That is the entire list, and we would rather write it here than let you work it out later.

What we will never do

Your photographs are never shown as samples, never used in our marketing, never posted anywhere and never used to train machine-learning models. For work under an agreement we do not even ask: there is no box to tick and no polite email about it in a year's time. One message deletes everything we hold, at any point, and we will not ask you why.

If this applies to you

Say so in the first message, before anything is uploaded. It costs nothing, it changes nothing about the price, and it means the agreement is in place before your photographs are.
